Is LVT better than laminate for bathrooms and kitchens?
Yes. LVT is 100% waterproof, making it the ideal choice for high-moisture areas where traditional laminate might swell or warp over time.
Do I need an underlay for LVT and laminate?
Most laminate floors require a specific underlay for sound reduction and moisture protection. Some LVT planks come with an integrated underlay, but we assess your subfloor to ensure the best foundation.
Can LVT be installed over existing tiles?
Yes, as long as the tiles are flat and secure. We often apply a thin smoothing compound over the tiles first to ensure the grout lines don't "telegraph" through to your new vinyl floor.
