How long does it take for the floor screed to dry?
It depends on the thickness and type of material. Modern self-levelling compounds can often be walked on within 4–6 hours, but we typically wait 24–48 hours before laying the final floor finish.
Can you level a floor that has underfloor heating?
Yes, we use specialized fiber-reinforced screeds that are designed to expand and contract with the heat, ensuring the pipes are protected and the heat is distributed evenly.
Do you need to remove the old floor before levelling?
In most cases, yes. To ensure a strong bond, the subfloor needs to be clean and stable. We assess each project to determine if we can level over existing tiles or if a full strip-back is required.
